Click Away Highlights | A Maine Photographer in Florida

Last week I road tripped to Florida with my husband to attend my *first ever* Click Away photography conference. It was such an amazing experience, and I feel like I learned so much and met so many amazing new people. The weather was absolute perfection too. I didn't take very many pictures considering how long I was gone but that's kind of my MO. I get busy and involved and forget to take pictures. If you've been following me for a while you may notice I never post many (or any really) pictures from holidays or birthdays and that's why. I'm the photographer who can't remember to take pictures, lol. I'm hoping my 365 project will help with that this year. (Which I'm still rocking by the way in case you were curious)

My entire time at Click Away was so inspiring and I am so excited to put what I learned to use. And I can't wait to go again next year. I'm already daydreaming about where it will be held and what classes I'll take.

So, we ate amazing food - seriously, every restaurant on Amelia Island is like heavenly. I didn't get to spend as much time outside as I had hoped but I managed to take a few walks on the beach and through the resort area at the Omni where we stayed. I caught a beautiful sunrise and saw a gecko! Yeh, the gecko was pretty exciting. And I got real brave after one of my classes about documentary photography and took a picture of a stranger on the docks. YEH SO BRAVE. Haha, but really, it's a pretty great shot.

Anywayyyy, here are some of my favorite pictures that I got (palms, gecko, and stranger included). Let's all just keep looking at those beach pictures and pretend that it's not going to be freezing tomorrow here in Maine. That's what I'm doing anyway. :)
