A + K Elopement | Ogunquit, Maine Wedding Photographer

Happy New Year!

As usual we’ll ignore the fact that I haven’t updated this blog since November and carry on. I’m going to try to blog some of my sessions from last summer and fall that I never got around to doing.

This month I’m running a special promotion. All 2019 weddings and elopements that are booked in February will receive 10% off their package total. In keeping with that theme today I’m showing some of my favorites from Autumn and Kevin’s elopement ceremony that took place last August. They eloped surrounded by cherished friends and family in a spot that’s near and dear to their hearts. They aren’t from Maine but Ogunquit is “their spot”. They have come to visit and walked along Marginal Way and that’s even where Kevin proposed. It was a really warm day with rain in the forecast. While it did sprinkle on us a little, it honestly just added to the beauty of the day and they do say rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck.

Here are some of my favorites. (Sorry, these will probably take A LONG time to load because there’s just so many.)

It was a warm and beautiful day when Chantel and Roger got married at A Barn in Dayton, Maine. I don't shoot many weddings but I really do love them. It's such an amazing experience to get to capture one of the most important days of my clients' lives. Chantel and Roger's day was full of love and beauty and I am so honored to have been able to capture the day for them. I'm excited to share some of their images with you all now. And be warned - it's picture heavy.

I still have availability for weddings in 2019. Contact me to book your wedding today.

The Phinney's | Maine Wedding Photographer

This summer I had the pleasure of photographing Laurel with her children and her boyfriend, Kyle. They were such a fun couple and family. Then shortly after, I got the most beautiful e-mail from Laurel saying that she and Kyle were getting married. I was over-the-moon excited to for them and was so honored to be a small part of their day.

They had a small, intimate ceremony at Laurel's mother's house surrounded by their closest family and friends. I'm so excited to share some of my favorite images from the day with you all, it may take a while to load because I have -lots- of favorites.

There were so many special touches throughout the afternoon. Laurel's grandmother's memory was included in just about every detail. Laurel's mother made her wedding gown and lined the inside with one of her grandmother's nightgowns. The napkins were handmade (again by Laurel's mom) using pillowcases that had belonged to her grandmother. I was very close to my grandfather and losing him last year was extremely difficult for me, so to see her grandmother throughout the day was extremely touching to me.

Guillette Wedding | Portland, Maine Photographer

Earlier this month I had the honor of photographing these two special individual's wedding. I enjoyed my time with them so much. Jeremy kept us laughing all day and I was completely overwhelmed by all the love between their families and between the two of them. As I've been editing their pictures I keep finding myself laughing and getting teary-eyed all over again.

I'll warn you guys that this blog is very picture heavy so it may take a few moments to load all the pictures. It'll be worth the wait though!

Earlier this month I photographed my first wedding of the season. As you may know, I don't take on many weddings so I'm excited to share this one with you all now. Amanda and Mike already have a beautiful daughter and Amanda was really excited to finally become a Johnson as well. It was a laid back event with their closest family and friends in early June. The weather was perfect and the day was full of love.

Amanda and Mike chose to do a first look and they are some of my favorite images from the day. The look on Mike's face just reminds me of a kid in a candy store looking at his future wife.
